Thai Retirement Visa

Things you need to know about the Thai retirement visa:

  • Thailand retirement visa is the popular term for "Extension of Stay Based on Retirement”. It is an extension of a Non-Immigrant O Visa or Non-Immigrant OA Visa.
  • The visa can be valid either for a single entry or multiple entries. (You will want multiple if you plan any travel outside of Thailand.)
  • This is a long term Thai visa that entitles the holder a stay of uninterrupted 1 year period in Thailand, but you may still need to report every 90 days to the government.
  • The visa is renewable every year and the renewal process can be done inside Thailand (requirements for the visa renewal still apply).

Qualifications

  • Applicant must be 50 years of age or over
  • Must meet any of the financial requirements:
    1. Security deposit of THB 800,000 in a Thai bank account for 2 months prior to the visa application
or 2. Monthly Income of 65,000 THB
or 3. Combination of security deposit and annual income with a total of 800,000 THB
    Supporting documents are as follows:
    • In case of security deposit, you will provide an updated bank book or passbook together with a bank letter stating that the money had been deposited to the account from an overseas source for not less than 2 months.
    • In case of income, a letter from your embassy in Thailand verifying your monthly income;
    • In case, your embassy does not issue an income letter, you will provide a 12-month bank statement showing a regular deposit of 65,000 baht into a Thai bank account.
Other documents that may be required to be presented:*
    • Police Clearance
    • Medical Certificate
      -Health Insurance

Now I have done this for several years, so I know the process. I have also used professional services the first few times, and, lets say the performance is mixed on how they did it.

The Politics of Hate

Trying out something new, a video message.

Also to back this up is a good article from Glen Greenwald about how our capacity to reason diminishes during the highly charged climate surrounding a war and war propaganda from BOTH sides.

The Great AI Debate

You would have to be living under a rock to not have heard about AI. Artificial Intelligence, either the great savior of human kind, or the precursor to Sky-net that will destroy us all. Which is it?

First of all, this post was NOT written by AI. So apologies for any mistakes. There is a confusion in terms I believe, as most of the AI's people are thinking of (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc.) are really LLM or Large Language Models. These are not really "intelligent" but just using mathematics to predict what words are needed to complete the question. Which is why people say AI "lies" too much. Not really, its just predicting words that complete the query and has no concept of what even lying really is.

So is it a bubble? Is it the next industrial revolution? This is the question of the day, and to help answer it, let me point to a few videos that have just been released that give relevant information:

All-In Podcast from 29th of May, 2026 see's a very pro-AI panel debate on if the layoffs in ...

Michael Saylor and the BTC Kayfebe

Michael Saylor shared something recently that may have gone unnoticed by most.... he said it in an interview with Tom Bilyeu recently.... here is the clip:

https://x.com/TheBTCTherapist/status/1869507247526793481

MICHAEL SAYLOR: The first nation to print their own currency to buy Bitcoin wins.

Paul from invest answers then also put together the fact that MSTR is applying to issue more stock to buy more BTC.... is that the same thing? Basically, people will be using fiat to buy stock that will be used to purchase BTC. But the BTC supply is limited.... so get your MSTR (or your BTC) soon! (NOT financial advice....)

But this is not what Satoshi's original 2008 whitepaper (https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-paper) had in mind when it developed Bitcoin, it was suppose to be a peer to peer cashless transaction system, right?

Roger Ver thinks so, and wrote a book about it called Hijacking Bitcoin. This video is a summary of that book ...
