Well we have enough doomsday predictions out there that its quite depressing, if we think that we are not prepared. In a heated discussion with one of my friends, he is convinced that now is the time to buy into the stock market, as we are at the bottom of the cycle. He sent me this as proof:
Something tells me though, this time is different. Mike Maloney called this the everything bubble, and as we can see in some of these articles and videos, real estate is high, stocks are overvalued, bonds are unsafe, and crypto is volatile. You would have to be living under a rock to not have heard about AI. Artificial Intelligence, either the great savior of human kind, or the precursor to Sky-net that will destroy us all. Which is it?
First of all, this post was NOT written by AI. So apologies for any mistakes. There is a confusion in terms I believe, as most of the AI's people are thinking of (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc.) are really LLM or Large Language Models. These are not really "intelligent" but just using mathematics to predict what words are needed to complete the question. Which is why people say AI "lies" too much. Not really, its just predicting words that complete the query and has no concept of what even lying really is.
So is it a bubble? Is it the next industrial revolution? This is the question of the day, and to help answer it, let me point to a few videos that have just been released that give relevant information:
