Why Joe Rogan is Different

There is no question, Americans are moving away from the legacy media and moving towards new forms of news and entertainment.  For instance, Joe Rogan's audience is dwarfing those that watch CNN, Fox and MSNBC combined. (https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/mainstream-media-being-swallowed-joe-rogan)

So Neil Young apparently put up an open letter demanding Spotify make a choice between him or Joe, but the letter disappeared later, even though the media is running with it. It's not even clear it came from Neil, as he sold most of the rights to his music a while back.... But why is this a thing? Why the disproportionate response to one of over 1000 three hour podcasts? Well, perhaps the legacy media is trying to stifle its competition, or gain back influence it has lost....

And rather than talk about why the legacy media is so terrible I'd like to focus on what Joe Rogan does, that makes him so popular. Joe said he approaches his podcast as "having conversations", and he does it in what appears to be an honest way, as he is inquiring about the truth. Now we cannot read his mind, but he articulated as much in his recent Instagram post. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CZYQ_nDJi6G/

This is the other thing, he is not part of the legacy media machinery, so he’s not serving any big corporate boss (I think that is even written in his deal with Spotify that they cannot censor him.)

From the Zero Hedge article: “Because he [Joe] comes by it honestly, because he inquires about the truth with good intention - he’s not serving anybody, he’s trying to find answers about fringe questions - those are the things the [legacy] media doesn’t do.  "

“You have an instance here where you have experts trying to opine on what they think is best and what the public needs to know, but you have this intervention from the tech companies, from the government, saying ‘Hey, you guys are too stupid to listen both sides of the story and make your decision accordingly. We have to protect you from this one set of opinions, despite the fact that they’re from published authors with incredible credentials.  "

You may not think they are experts, but in their field, they certainly do have a lot of credentials that up to this point, were not questioned. Also, they comment on many things outside their field of expertise, and there we need to look with a critical eye at what they are saying.

Some in the legacy media recognize this.... here is CNN commentator Mary Katharine Ham; “I don’t mind that I disagree with him sometimes, enjoy long-form interviews with interesting people that not a lot of people do, am suspicious of motives for shutting him up, & am weirded out by how many people desire it,”  (https://twitter.com/mkhammer/status/1487845450396971009)

“Joe Rogan is what he is. We in the media might want to spend more time thinking about why so many people trust him instead of us,” New York Times reporter Matthew Rosenberg said.

Another good article on this is from Glenn Greenwald, where he roasts the legacy media again.... lol. https://greenwald.substack.com/p/the-pressure-campaign-on-spotify

What do you think? Have you listened to Joe Rogan? Some of his podcasts are hilarious, and there is no way to listen to all his content, but I am glad he is there.

By the way, the podcast format almost died in its infancy, if you didn't know, and EFF was there to help defend it, that story is here:

Can you imagine if they succeeded? Ha no more Joe Rogan controversy!

The Politics of Hate

Trying out something new, a video message.

Also to back this up is a good article from Glen Greenwald about how our capacity to reason diminishes during the highly charged climate surrounding a war and war propaganda from BOTH sides.

Michael Saylor and the BTC Kayfebe

Michael Saylor shared something recently that may have gone unnoticed by most.... he said it in an interview with Tom Bilyeu recently.... here is the clip:

https://x.com/TheBTCTherapist/status/1869507247526793481

MICHAEL SAYLOR: The first nation to print their own currency to buy Bitcoin wins.

Paul from invest answers then also put together the fact that MSTR is applying to issue more stock to buy more BTC.... is that the same thing? Basically, people will be using fiat to buy stock that will be used to purchase BTC. But the BTC supply is limited.... so get your MSTR (or your BTC) soon! (NOT financial advice....)

But this is not what Satoshi's original 2008 whitepaper (https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-paper) had in mind when it developed Bitcoin, it was suppose to be a peer to peer cashless transaction system, right?

Roger Ver thinks so, and wrote a book about it called Hijacking Bitcoin. This video is a summary of that book ...

Authenticity Matters

Why Doug Casey and Anton Wahlman are wrong about the upcoming election.

Let start by reading and listening to what they have to say:

https://antonwahlman.substack.com/p/america-is-now-a-socialist-country

After reading the blog post on Hersey and Liberty, and as we see in the video from Doug Casey on why they think America is doomed to vote in "Commie-La", I think they have missed the bigger picture on the American electorate and what is driving the upcoming election.

Going through history, the three things that are the biggest motivations for the motivation to "Throw the bums out" are;
1. It's the Economy, stupid
2. How safe am I now?
3. Foreign Wars

Maybe the 2nd and 3rd reasons are intertwined, but this is the main three. And Commie-La, as much as she may try to run against the current administration, people know, she is part of the machine in power. With all three of these big picture items against her, the chances she pulls this off are extremely low.

Doug and Anton are reacting to a ...
