Loserthink

“Loserthink isn’t about being dumb, and it isn’t about being under informed. Loserthink is about unproductive ways of thinking.”

Warning, this is a total plug for Scott Adams book Loserthink, so if you are not interested, or already have it and are "aware", then no need to go further.

I find a lot of times that people who are disagreeing are talking past each other, and reference things that they think the other person is "thinking" to inform their response. But how many times has someone responded to you, totally misconstruing your intentions? Or vilified you for something you never considered?

Unfortunately I think this happens a lot in today's society, and it starts with a dishonest media (on BOTH sides) knowing what outrages their base, and assigning opinions to the opposite side that are totally false! But they get the traffic, the clicks, and the advertising money, so perversely, they are incentivized to keep doing it.

So we as Nomads need to be able to recognize this and rise above it. The battle isn't left vs right or liberal vs conservative or vaxxed vs unvaxxed, its integrity vs dishonesty. It means we need to purge our desire to assign motives to the actions of others.

This all falls under what Scott Adams calls in his book, Loserthink, "The Mind Reading Illusion". He says that we are terrible at reading other people’s minds. But the illusion fools us into thinking we are good at it. So, we routinely mischaracterize what others are trying to say to us and what their intent is. “If your opinion depends on reliably knowing another person’s inner thoughts,” Adams writes in his classic style, “you might be experiencing loserthink.”

When it happens to us, we are essentially being penalized for what others “think we are thinking.” His fix is to ask people to provide a specific position of yours that they think you believe. Then, one-by-one, run through the list of the things they have imagined about you. And let them know you don’t stand for any of those things. Eventually, they might realize their folly. Adams suggests that we observe what people do and how they act, rather than trying to deduce their intent because we are not good at this.

The Politics of Hate

Trying out something new, a video message.

Also to back this up is a good article from Glen Greenwald about how our capacity to reason diminishes during the highly charged climate surrounding a war and war propaganda from BOTH sides.

The Great AI Debate

You would have to be living under a rock to not have heard about AI. Artificial Intelligence, either the great savior of human kind, or the precursor to Sky-net that will destroy us all. Which is it?

First of all, this post was NOT written by AI. So apologies for any mistakes. There is a confusion in terms I believe, as most of the AI's people are thinking of (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, etc.) are really LLM or Large Language Models. These are not really "intelligent" but just using mathematics to predict what words are needed to complete the question. Which is why people say AI "lies" too much. Not really, its just predicting words that complete the query and has no concept of what even lying really is.

So is it a bubble? Is it the next industrial revolution? This is the question of the day, and to help answer it, let me point to a few videos that have just been released that give relevant information:

All-In Podcast from 29th of May, 2026 see's a very pro-AI panel debate on if the layoffs in ...

Michael Saylor and the BTC Kayfebe

Michael Saylor shared something recently that may have gone unnoticed by most.... he said it in an interview with Tom Bilyeu recently.... here is the clip:

https://x.com/TheBTCTherapist/status/1869507247526793481

MICHAEL SAYLOR: The first nation to print their own currency to buy Bitcoin wins.

Paul from invest answers then also put together the fact that MSTR is applying to issue more stock to buy more BTC.... is that the same thing? Basically, people will be using fiat to buy stock that will be used to purchase BTC. But the BTC supply is limited.... so get your MSTR (or your BTC) soon! (NOT financial advice....)

But this is not what Satoshi's original 2008 whitepaper (https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-paper) had in mind when it developed Bitcoin, it was suppose to be a peer to peer cashless transaction system, right?

Roger Ver thinks so, and wrote a book about it called Hijacking Bitcoin. This video is a summary of that book ...
